What skills do I need to learn PDR?

No specific prior knowledge is required. PDR can be learnt by anybody who has an eye for detail, patience, is good with their hands and willing to practice.

What is the master toolkit?

Having the right tools and knowing how to use them makes all the difference to a technicians speed and success.

Complete with 56 tools and 25 accessories the master toolkit includes all the tools a PDR technician needs to fix dents, including lighting and all accessories the master toolkit is offered at a discount rate to participants who purchase the course and toolkit at the same time.

What is the course structure? Can I do the course in less than two weeks?

Dents R us offers an intensive 10 day basic course, run from 10 am to 4:30pm on the first day and 8:30am to 5pm all other days. With 56 tools and a huge variety of dents and dings we strongly feel shorter courses do not give participants the hands on experience they need to feel confident and effectively use the tools. If you cannot make the two weeks ring us to get an honest evaluation of alternative options

What is covered during the course?

  • > Explanation and use of lighting system

  • > Techniques, demonstrations and practice of small and large dent removal covering:
    • - Bonnets
    • - Boots
    • - Doors
    • - Guards
    • - Creases/Double dents in open area of panels
    • - Dents/creases behind intrusion bars, double panelling and braces; and
    • - Finishing off techniques.

How long does it take to perfect PDR?

PDR is an art you never stop learning. Some people take to PDR quickly whilst others have to work a little harder. After two weeks you will have all you need to be able to fix simple dents. As you practice the greater the speed and size of the dents you can fix will be.

If I can't get to one of the public courses – what options are open to me?

Call us. Dents R us offers both public training and custom trainings. If you have 3-4 friends who want to take the training together we may be able to run a custom training, alternatively a space may open up in a custom training near you.

Bookings are confirmed with a 30% deposit. You can pay by cheque or direct debit. The full fee must be paid two weeks before the course commences. Click here to view our cancellation policy.
